Bath’s Travelodge Waterside is on the market as one of a package of six properties previously owned by failed hotel group Piccadilly.
The 124-bedroom hotel in Rossiter Road, pictured, is leased to Travelodge along with the other five venues. Agent Christie + Co will be marketing the hotels on an individual basis with a view to selling them with vacant possession.
Like the Waterside, the other hotels are in city centre locations or close to central areas. The five are in Edinburgh, Coventry, Newcastle and Stevenage.
Corporate hotels director Jeremy Jones said: “Given the strategic location of these Travelodge hotels and the potential for new operators to explore re-branding them in both budget and mid-market segments, we expect a great deal of competitive interest.”
Piccadilly Hotels went into administration last summer. As well as the six hotels leased to Travelodge, it owned 16 Menzies Hotels which were acquired in a management buyout.
