Small and medium-sized enterprises from across the South West are being invited to the preview in Bath of a unique programme aimed at supporting and investing in the business leaders of the future.
Productivity through People is a collaboration between four world-class organisations with the University of Bath School of Management, which has co-designed the innovative programme.
The 12-month programme has been designed to give key business decision-makers access to the latest techniques, thinking and research, and a framework to improve on the competitiveness and efficiency of their business through developing leadership and management capability to transform working practices.
They will also gain help in the crucial area of increasing productivity through the empowerment of their workforce.
The programme starts next January – but businesses interested in taking part will be able to hear more about it on September 27 at a special event at the University of Bath.
Those attending will get to meet the programme sponsors and project team, who will explain how the programme could benefit them and their organisation and hear from participants on the current programme.
A drinks reception with the opportunity for networking will follow the presentations.
The organisation behind the programme, the Productivity Leadership Group, was formed in 2015 by some of Britain’s most senior business leaders, led by John Lewis Partnership chairman Sir Charlie Mayfield, to explore what could practically be done to improve productivity in the UK.
This research led to the creation of Productivity through People to create high-performance working practices in industry supply chains.
The free-to-attend preview takes place between 5pm and 7pm in The Chancellors’ Building at the University of Bath, Claverton Down, Bath, BA2 7AY
