Bath accountancy firm Richardson Swift is sponsor young British triathlete Katie Synge as she aims for international sporting success.
The firm will help fund the former University of Bath student who had been training full-time as an elite triathlete representing Great Britain before being injured in a road traffic accident.
Katie – who last year finished fourth in the British Triathlon Super Series and began racing on the European Triathlon Cup circuit – is now back on her bike and has resumed training.
Richardson Swift’s financial support will help cover some of Katie’s costs next season as she travels the globe taking part in international competitions and training camps. The firm has also paid for Katie’s new branded running kit.
Katie, who studied sport and the social sciences at the University of Bath, said: “Training as a full-time athlete is hard work and doesn’t leave much time for anything else.
“So I’m very grateful to Richardson Swift for their generous support which relieves some of the financial pressure and will allow me to focus on my training and international race calendar.”
Richardson Swift tax director Jon Miles added: “We are proud to sponsor Katie, who has worked incredibly hard to become one of this country’s elite athletes. We look forward to celebrating her sporting successes in the future.”
