Experienced construction disputes lawyer Andrew Ash has joined the Bath office of regional law firm Withy King as a partner to head its construction and engineering team.

Andrew, pictured, previously worked in the Bristol office of Osborne Clarke, where he was an associate director for 14 years.

His new role in Withy King’s construction and engineering team was previously held by the firm’s managing partner Graham Street.

Andrew handles high-profile cases for UK and internationally-based clients, including utility companies, commercial and residential property developers, contractors and specialist sub-contractors, many in the rail, energy, renewables and offshore construction industries.

He also regularly speaks on legal issues at construction, engineering and property-related seminars, including those run by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Andrew said: “I am extremely pleased to have joined Withy King at a time of significant growth and opportunity. I look forward to helping the firm to achieve its ambitions, particularly in the construction and engineering arena where it already has a growing reputation for the quality of its work.”

Withy King has also appointed Andzelika Kozakiewicz, who joins from Bath-based international engineering consultancy BuroHappold and will be working alongside Andrew and other members of the construction team.

Withy King is Bath’s largest law firm employing 180 staff and partners at Midland Bridge House and Northumberland Buildings, Queen Square. The firm provides a comprehensive range of legal services to business clients as well as private individuals and their families. It also has offices in Swindon, Oxford and London.
