Law firm Withy King, which has two large offices in central Bath employing 172 people, has been named as one of the UK’s best employers.
The firm appears in The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Mid-Sized Companies to Work For with a highly sought after two-star ‘outstanding’ accreditation for the second year running.
The accolade recognises the firm’s outstanding levels of staff engagement and ongoing commitment to creating a positive working environment for its people. It had a record response to the staff satisfaction survey run by Best Companies with 87% of its employees taking part.
The firm’s ranking in the Top 100 will be revealed at an awards ceremony in London on February 26 and in a league table to be published in the Sunday Times and online on March 1. Last year Withy King was ranked 58th in the table.
Managing partner Graham Street, pictured, said: “We are delighted to have achieved the highly sought after two star, outstanding accreditation for the second consecutive year.
“Our results were even better than last year and we achieved our highest scores in the areas relating to ‘company’ and ‘team’.
“Staff feedback is extremely important to us as we want to create a positive and productive working environment where we are all aligned to our vision of developing lasting relationships with our clients by always putting their interests first.
“The results of the Best Companies survey reflects the hard work, drive and effort across all our teams and we are proud that they have been recognised in this way.”
Withy King employs 324 people across its offices in Bath, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire and London. Last year it also gained top marks in eight categories in a survey of trainee solicitors run by Lex 100, the student guide to law – one more category than the previous year.
The annual Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work For is the most comprehensive analysis of workplace engagement, opinion and satisfaction in the UK.
